TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These are the Terms and Conditions to your ticket, membership and/or program registration with the NATIONAL MUSIC CENTRE (hereinafter referred to as "NMC"). Please read these carefully prior to completing your purchase.

General Terms, Conditions and Disclaimers

Check your Shopping Cart and Order Confirmation carefully.

If you are having trouble printing your tickets please call 403.543.5115. NMC cannot provide system support but will provide reasonable troubleshooting assistance with the ticketing system and details relating to your purchase.

No refunds or exchanges are permitted. Tickets are non-transferrable and management reserves the right to refuse admission to Studio Bell. NMC strictly prohibits the unauthorized resale of tickets. Tickets have no cash resale value and are void if resold or bartered. Bearer of the ticket voluntarily assumes all risks and damages incidental to the event for which a ticket is issued or registration is made.

A guardian must accompany children under the age of 12 when they visit Studio Bell.

Your use of this ticket or registration constitutes an acknowledgment of your willingness to appear in photographs, motion pictures and videos taken in public areas of the venue, releases NMC from liability resulting from the use of such photographs, motion pictures or videos and grants NMC the unrestricted right to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate, distribute, adapt and otherwise use or reuse photographs, motion pictures and videos, including in television commercial(s), without further compensation.

Exhibits

NMC reserves the right to close or remove some exhibits, areas or programs within Studio Bell partly, entirely or at certain times of the year for various reasons including, but not limited to special events and maintenance.

Privacy Policy

We highly value your privacy. Visitors to Studio Bell expect that their children will take part in fun learning experiences. They also expect that the learning will occur in a safe and secure environment. We ensure that the personal information you provide to us is kept safe and secure as well.

NMC has a number of measures to ensure that your personal information is handled to the same standards required of business organizations in Alberta.

Personal information is provided to us when you:

  • Purchase a Membership in person, over the phone or online
  • Purchase tickets for admission or services with a credit card in person, over the phone or online
  • Make a donation in person, over the phone or online
  • Register a child in a program or event, such as our Camps, Workshops or a Birthday Party
  • Book and/or pay for a Venue Rental or event booking
  • Volunteer or become an employee of NMC

We collect personal information when we need it to provide you with the programs or services you have selected. The information we may ask for is listed below with a summary of how we use this information:

  • Credit card information: enables us to process your payments for entrance fees, program registration or donations
  • Home address, phone number, email address and names of family members: tells us who you are when you buy a membership or make a donation, who among your family are to be included on the membership card, and how we can communicate with you

Other personal information that may be required for specific programs or services will only be collected with your consent. As a participant in NMC activities, we may invite you to attend special or educational events or to contribute your time, talent or funds for NMC initiatives. You will always have the option of not providing certain personal information or choosing not to receive communications from us. Guests who simply want to explore the exhibits and pay their admission in cash need not provide any personal information.

From time to time, however, photographs may be taken of children at the NMC by the media or used in promotional materials prepared by NMC staff. In all cases, parents will be asked to sign a release for the taking and use of photographs. The provision of a release is optional and does not limit your child's participation in NMC activities and events.

Your personal information will remain private, confidential and NMC will not rent, sell, loan or trade your personal information to anyone. We will require your explicit consent to use your personal information for purposes other than those provided for in this statement. Under the provisions of the Alberta legislation, the NMC may disclose your personal information:

  • To a person who we are satisfied is requesting information on your behalf
  • When permitted or required by law; or
  • To a public authority if, in our reasonable judgment, there appears to be an imminent danger that could be avoided by disclosing the information.
