Come jam with us on Thursdays!
Jam Club is a free after-school drop-in program for teens looking to practice their skills and explore their creative potential, all the while making new friends.
All skill levels are welcome – whether you’re a guitar prodigy or you’ve only recently been toying with the idea of picking up a new musical hobby, Jam Club is the place to be!
As a team of musicians and educators, we understand that opportunities for young people to practice their skills and explore their creative potential outside of the classroom are few and far between. Jam Club serves to fill this void by providing a necessary collaborative component of music, allowing students of all ability and experience levels to hone their skills individually or as part of a group.
This season of Jam Club runs every Thursday from 3 pm to 6 pm until December 19, 2024. We will return on January 23, 2025.
Do you have instruments or music gear gathering dust? Donate them to Jam Club!
No problem! At Jam Club, students are welcome to make use of our extensive fleet of instruments, ranging from keyboards, acoustic and electric guitars with amplifiers, ukuleles and drumkits!
We’ve got that covered too. Each week, participants will be supported by National Music Centre’s talented School & Public Program Educators, all of whom are skilled musicians, multi-instrumentalists, and experienced educators. Additionally, each week we have a dedicated team of musically skilled volunteers who are happy to provide instructional support.
Maybe you’re just looking for a place to practice on your own – that’s cool too! We’ve got loads of space for participants to spread out and do their own thing!
As a drop-in program, no registration is required. Students can drop in at any time between 3:00pm and 6:00pm and there is no obligation to attend week to week. Snacks and drinks are provided.
