Control Room A

Control Room A is the largest of the control rooms at Studio Bell and is centred around a historic Trident (Triad) A Range Console. 

With sweeping views of downtown Calgary, Control Room A offers a relaxed and comfortable working environment perfect for larger production teams. Fully wired to the rest of the facility, Control Room A is equally suited for large tracking or mixing sessions. An intimate isolation booth located directly beside the room is also available for use.

What’s Inside

• Trident A Range Console

  This 1975 British recording console is the fifth of only 13 ever made. These legendary consoles are responsible for some of the most classic records of all time from artists such as David Bowie, Elton John, Queen, Rush and Metallica. Its specs include:

  • 34 mic/line inputs with 4-band EQ, filters and inserts
  • 24 tape returns with 2-band EQ and inserts
  • 58 inputs to mix buss
  • 8 stereo multitrack busses with pan
  • 4 stereo cue/ multitrack busses with pan
  • 6 mono effect sends with 2-band EQ
